Professional Status

Instauro Legal Services GmbH (in formation) (“Instauro”) is a company focused on out-of-court legal services — not a traditional law firm. Our aim is to provide legal support that is understandable, practical, committed, and affordable: without barriers, in clear language, and on transparent terms.

The company is managed by Denis Derzhitskiy, a legal advisor in training (Cand. BLaw at the University of Zurich) with 6+ years of practical legal experience gained in companies and a law firm alongside his studies.

In Switzerland, legal advice is generally not reserved to licensed attorneys. We are therefore permitted and able to support you across a broad range of matters, in particular:

• General legal advice and legal information regarding your situation
• Review, explanation, and drafting of contracts and other documents
• Support with correspondence with authorities, insurers, and contractual partners
• Initial legal assessment of your matter and identification of your options
• Triage: we tell you when you need a licensed attorney

Certain activities are reserved by law to attorneys entered in the attorneys’ register. This includes, in particular, the professional representation of parties before courts in civil and criminal proceedings.

We do not provide such services.

If your matter requires representation by an attorney, we will tell you so and assist you in finding a suitable attorney from our network.

Your information is treated as strictly confidential. We contractually commit to secrecy regarding all facts entrusted to us in the course of our advisory work, and we process your data in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Data Protection Act (see our Privacy Policy).

Transparency is part of this: since we are not a law firm, our activities are not subject to statutory attorney-client privilege. This means, in particular, that — unlike attorneys — we cannot invoke a professional right to refuse testimony in court or criminal proceedings and may, under certain circumstances, be required to comply with statutory disclosure or production obligations. In practice, this is irrelevant for the vast majority of advisory matters. For particularly sensitive matters — for example, in connection with ongoing or impending criminal or court proceedings — we recommend engaging an attorney from the outset and will assist you in finding one or refer you accordingly.
